Julian Mesa is a house and techno artist from Brooklyn, NYC – now based in Bahrain. Inspired by some of the more artistic names in underground dance, he draws influence from the likes of Ellen Allien, Fabio Florido, Jon Hester, Keith Carnal, Alex Baciu, and Satoshi Tomiie to name but a few.
Growing up stateside in the ‘90s, Julian was exposed to a wave of what is now considered to be some of the most important records in electronic music history – a rich musical background that he has carried with him along the way to refining and perfecting his craft.
Ever-growing in intercontinental prominence, Julian has already graced many club spaces across North and South America as well as Asia. Some of his most notable experiences include Pacha (NYC), Heart (Miami), Drais (Las Vegas), Heard From (Colombia), Tokyo and, Qingdao. Julian’s impressive performance resume has seen him support some of the biggest names in the business, including Richie Hawtin, Juliet Fox, D-Unity, Lehar, Timmo, Blond:ish, Brian Cid, Terry Francis, Joeski, Dyed Sondorom, John Tejada, D’Julz, Shonky, Anthea, Matt Tolfrey, Chus & Ceballos, Dan Ghenacia and many more.
Julian has seen his work released on Fervence Records (Sweden) as well as his Explicit Codec imprint – garnering the support of artists like Iori, Nusha, Blu9, GettoBlaster, Terry Mulan, wAFF, Davide Squillace and many others.
With a host of exciting releases in the pipeline as well as shows around the globe and performing visits to many new destinations (with his newly formed OFF Global Group promotional brand), the future is looking filled with continued growth and exposure for Julian, as he looks to take his global presence to the next level and beyond.
