Sam York is a transplant to Asia but that hasn’t stopped him from getting involved in Bangkok’s underground scene and contributing to important local projects like community radios, live streams, and events. A long time resident of Chicago, Sam founded community spaces and organized illegal parties in warehouses and lofts. After witnessing some of the OGs of Chicago make magic happen in early hour secret parties, he followed the beat of house across Italo-disco, new wave, underground nyc disco and Detroit techno and started producing analog house and dubby disco from a Khlong Toei bedroom studio. That doesn’t mean he can be boxed into genres – catch him playing anywhere from 100-160 bpm in sets spanning across electro, rave anthems, psychedelic European progressive house to acid techno.
